Purpose of Role

The Gold Rush Corporate Internship Program is an opportunity for students who are enrolled in a related program who want to excel in the mining industry. This program will have opportunities working closely with many departments in the Kinross Corporate office and mine sites, gaining real-world experience in an exciting, dynamic field. Supply Chain is looking for a summer intern for 2025 to assist with a variety of tasks.

In-depth experience with SAP Ariba and BI reporting tools.
Exposure to strategic sourcing and category management concepts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Processing simple sourcing and contracting requests using SAP Ariba.
  • Supporting on complex sourcing projects with data analysis, commercial evaluations, developing RFx documentation, etc.
  • Spend analysis to help identify sourcing opportunities for corporate and mine sites.
  • Running reports and updating KPIs in PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Provide support to the strategic sourcing and global category teams.
  • Provide support for other supply chain functions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently pursuing a university/college degree in Business, Supply Chain or related fields ideal.
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain management and related challenges is an asset.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly with a high level of problem solving.
  • Experience working with others and communicating effectively.
