Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Summer 2025 STUDENT placement with a start date of May 2025 and end-date of August 2025. To be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning to school after the work term end-date of August 2025; or
  • If you are not returning to school (i.e. are graduating in April 2025 or August 2025), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

Within RBC's Personal & Commercial Operations (PCO), the Operations Centres are delivering best in class service within all lines of businesses including the Business Lending, Personal Lending, Specialized Services, and Transaction Services. Our overarching goal, through employee engagement, is to meet client commitments, improve productivity, and create a superior client experience. The Operations Centres are a great foundation for understanding banking and can be a springboard to other opportunities elsewhere in PCO and RBC.

  • Business Analyst
  • Associate Credit Officer
  • Compliance Officer
  • Operations Specialist
  • Communications Analyst

What will you do?

  • Contribute to defined projects or tasks under direct supervision.
  • Document processes or updates existing procedure manuals and or internal web content.
  • Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling
  • Contribute to opportunities for process improvement ​
  • Ensure communication requirements are met and are aligned to department infrastructure
  • Collect information from various host systems and liaise with team members to obtain non-host system information (e.g. Financial Statements)

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Working towards a degree with a focus on Business Management, Project Management, Communications, or equivalent education
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and analytical thinker, capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with strong process management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice-to-have

  • Bilingualism (English and French), written and spoken
  • Previous experience at RBC
