The mandate of City Wide Programs, Aquatics & Specialized Services is to provide strategic vision and innovative leadership in managing customer centric sports, physical activity, aquatics and recreation venues, programs and services for all ages, including the management of facilities and/or land, and for the delivery of indoor and outdoor recreation programs and services. This Service provides city wide access to adapted, therapeutic and integrated recreation programs, giving children, youth and adults with special needs the opportunity to participate in community recreation.
Under the guidance of a Program Coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the beach pavilion, washrooms, change rooms and surrounding area. You also assist patrons, as required (i.e. hours of operation, cost of net rentals) and communicate with other City staff. In addition, you are responsible for setting up and taking down the beach volleyball equipment, maintaining the beach volleyball equipment room, opening and/or closing the facility, and other site specific equipment and administrative requirements (i.e. weekly attendance, accident and incident reports).
