Production Summer Student

Role Summary:

As a Summer Student, you will assist with various production line tasks, including Grinding, Stuffing, Netting and packaging.

Job Type: Full-Time / Temporary (April to August 31, 2025)

Hourly Rate: $18.00

Shifts Available: earliest start 5:30am

Our Summer Students are required to stay until the end of production operations - each shift varies.

Belleville Facility - Pork Processing Plant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble meat products, including tying, stuffing, hanging, and adding spices according to specifications.
• Handle packaging tasks, including bagging, vacuum sealing, labeling, and applying stickers with weight and best-before dates.
• Conducts visual inspections before and after processing and ensures compliance with quality standards throughout production.
• Supports efficient workflow by expediting materials as needed.
• Assists team members with procedures, follows supervisor instructions, and performs additional tasks as required to maintain smooth operations and productivity.

Qualifications:

• No previous experience required - training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull up 250 lbs.
• Ability to work near or around machinery.
• Ability to work in a cold.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
• Frequent exposure to noise, blood, bones, fat, grease, offal, waste meat etc.
