Your future role on our team:

Your role as a Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Co-op Student will be to take part in client facing and internal projects related to services and products that cover the breadth of the Power T&D sector including, renewables integration, energy storage, microgrids, substation design, and feasibility studies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and work with members of the Power Systems Business Line.

  • Contribute to development of existing and new Product & Service offerings
  • Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines as required to complete client deliverables (e.g. calculations, drawings, reports)
  • Support engagement with renewable power developer clients and learn of the various phases of project development
  • Support the development of standardized documentation (reports, memos, presentations, databases) to facilitate T&D Business Development
  • Support administrative tasks related to assigned projects and other duties as required

Required qualities:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in engineering (preferred discipline is electrical)
  • Basic understanding of the electrical grid and integration of latest renewable technologies
  • Experienced in data gathering and analysis, strong proficiency in Excel (scripting an asset)
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS will be considered an asset
  • Keen researching abilities that are leveraged to present complex subject matter concisely
  • Pro-active and adaptable mindset that can operate efficiently in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
