Are you an enthusiastic student eager to gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within an industrial environment? We are looking for a Summer Student to join our Electrical Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals, build practical skills, and contribute to maintaining critical systems at our facility.

As an Electrical Maintenance Summer Student, you will assist our team in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, gaining invaluable experience to support your future career.

  • Duration: May 2025 - August 2025
  • Shift: Rotational, 12 hr. shift
  • Hourly Wage: $23.70/hr

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including motors, PLCs, wiring, and control panels.
  • Support the team in identifying and resolving system malfunctions or electrical issues.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Help with installations and upgrades of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
  • Document electrical maintenance activities and report findings to supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Electrical Team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Industrial Electrical program, Electrical Maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electrical maintenance is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and work in compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
