The Helicopter Business Unit will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work on inventory planning initiatives and sub-contract processes.
The summer experience requires the students to demonstrate a high degree of teamwork, inter-personal communication, initiative, and problem-solving. This summer student role will provide a student with an opportunity to: contribute to a project that positively impacts the business unit; receive authentic industry experience; and work in a collaborative, clean and safe work environment.

Essential Job Functions for students may include one or many of the following:

  • Facilitate and track transition of inventory from the US to Canada.
  • Assist in sourcing and purchasing inventory and tooling for new engine line implementation.
  • Source, communicate and follow-up with local and international sub-contract vendors.
  • Learn and participate in various supply chain processes including purchasing, sub-contract vendor management and warehousing,
  • Other projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications include:

  • 3rd or 4th year student in Commerce or Business Administration with a focus on Supply Chain.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, problem-solving, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer proficiency in a MS Office environment.

Desired Characteristics include:

  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent planning and tracking abilities.
  • Experience of technical and/or mechanical systems is an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment is an asset, but not a requirement.
