Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including our Corporate Speaker Series, Fireside Chats, Volunteer opportunities and Networking events.

Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.

Based in Vancouver, the Co-op/Intern, Research, will report to the Vice President, Global Research & Strategy and work closely with members of the Global Research team to support the global investment mandate of QuadReal. QuadReal's Global Research team is responsible for conducting property market, capital market and macroeconomic research on all the major real estate markets in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

What You Will Experience:

  • Support the analysis of global real estate market trends by tracking and interpreting data on economics, demographics, and capital markets

  • Support real estate investment underwriting and Investment Committee Memos by providing market analysis

  • Conduct research on international markets, investment themes, and trends (e.g. Europe, Asia Pacific, United States)

  • Assist in the development of investment strategies based on real estate market analysis and forecasts

  • Contribute to and assist in the development of presentations on market trends and strategies

  • Contribute to multiple research projects

What You Will Bring:

  • Enrolled in a university degree program in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related area. Must have a strong interest in real estate and research. Some international experience may be considered an asset

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages

  • Must be able to allocate time effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and change. Comfortable following direction but also contributing to the direction

  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Must be extremely proactive and work well in a collaborative environment, with the ability to take guidance but then move projects forward independently

  • Embrace and proactively support QuadReal's values and its culture of environmental sustainability and corporate and social responsibility

  • Previous experience working within the institutional investment/real estate industry, or another related sector or industry is beneficial (but not required)
