Galore Creek Mining Corporation is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering or Technologist Summer Student to support field investigations at the Galore Creek Project in northwest British Columbia!
Reporting to the Geotechnical field leads, the Summer Student, Geotechnical Engineering is responsible for supporting geotechnical and hydrotechnical field investigations for a large and complex prefeasibility-level study at an exploration site in northern British Columbia. The successful candidate will contribute as a member of the field team, assisting with field planning, execution, and data processing, while upholding rigorous safety standards.
This outstanding opportunity will be office based from our Vancouver office until the start of the field season in mid-June, then based at the Galore Creek project site on a 15 on/13 off (days) rotational basis, inclusive of travel. This rotation is subject to change as the project requires.
Overview
Galore Creek Mining Corporation currently operates two camps on the project site. One road accessible camp (98 person capacity) and one helicopter supported camp (160 person capacity).

Qualifications
Annual Salary Range: $56,900 - $72,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
