Reporting to the Team Leader, the Summer Student will be a client facing representative and is responsible for providing excellent client service and branch sales support. You will be responsible for the full range of sales support and office administration duties including computer data input, report generation and other assigned duties in accordance to AFSC standards.

Over the summer you will develop a level of familiarity with all AFSC programs, products, and services, while gaining first-hand experience with the unique financial services that we provide our clients. We are looking for summer students in three areas of the business: client care, insurance, and lending. Please indicate your preference in your application.


Client Care:

Summer Student - Client Care will be a self-starter and a great communicator. You will assist with various requests for information, and provide assistance in office where needed. You will train to be the first impression and a key contributor for the Client Care Team.


Insurance:

Summer Student - Insurance will work with branch staff to support while learning and gaining an understanding of risk mitigation as part of the crop production cycle for agriculture producers in the province of Alberta.


Lending:

Summer Student - Lending will work with a Team Leader - Lending and/or Relationship Manager Lending to enhance client experience through sales and service interactions, assist with portfolio management, prepare and submit proposals for approval, supported by adequate analysis. The successful candidate will be instructed in lending principles and process.


Candidates should be either enrolled in, registered to attend or attending a post-secondary institution in the fall of 2025.


Preference will be given to those in Agriculture or Business programs.


Experience in the agricultural industry will be considered an asset.
